7. Vehicle Pickup
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard collection window is 10:00am to 12:00pm.
All Approved Drivers must be present at pickup and must bring their full valid driving licence and any required supporting identification.
At pickup, you must inspect the vehicle and complete the relevant check form. If no defect is reported at pickup, the vehicle will be deemed to have been accepted in good condition.
If you arrive late for collection, additional charges may apply where staff are required to remain beyond the agreed collection window.
If you are unable to collect the vehicle before 8:00pm on the agreed pickup date, collection may be moved to the following day. In this case, no refund or hire extension will be due.
8. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time and location.
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was collected, allowing for fair wear and tear.
You must return the vehicle:
- clean and tidy;
- with all rubbish removed;
- with all kitchen equipment cleaned and stored correctly;
- with the same fuel level as at pickup;
- with all associated equipment returned;
- with the grey water tank and toilet cassette emptied and rinsed, where applicable.
If the vehicle requires excessive cleaning, a cleaning charge may be applied.
If the vehicle is returned late, a late return charge of £95 per hour including VAT may apply until the vehicle is returned and available for use.
9. Fuel, Gas, Waste & Cleaning
The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank of fuel.
Failure to return the vehicle with the correct fuel level may result in a service charge of £25, plus the cost of refuelling.
Where a gas bottle is supplied and empties during your hire, you should replace it at the nearest suitable supplier and retain proof of purchase for reimbursement, unless otherwise agreed.
If the grey water tank or toilet cassette is not emptied and rinsed before return, a charge of £75 may apply.
If excessive cleaning is required, a cleaning charge of £195 may apply.
10. Use of the Vehicle
During the Rental Period, you agree to:

- not carry more passengers than the number of seatbelts available;
- not use the vehicle for commercial use, racing, competitions or unlawful purposes;
- not allow anyone other than an Approved Driver to drive the vehicle;
- not take the vehicle onto beaches, through floodwater, rivers, streams, closed roads, restricted roads or unsuitable off-road areas.
You must not sell, lend, re-hire, modify, alter or deface the vehicle.
11. Accidents, Damage & Breakdowns
You must inform us immediately of any accident, damage, theft, loss, breakdown or suspected fault.
In the event of an accident, you must:
- obtain the names, addresses and details of all parties involved;
- obtain witness details where possible;
- notify the police where required;
- protect the vehicle from further damage;
- complete any accident report forms required by us or our insurer.
You must not admit liability or settle any claim without our permission.
You are responsible for any costs, excesses, penalties or charges arising from damage, misuse, accidents or breach of these Terms & Conditions.
If the vehicle becomes unavailable through no fault of your own, we will use reasonable efforts to provide a replacement vehicle. If we are unable to provide a suitable replacement, you may be entitled to a refund for the unused part of your hire, subject to investigation and confirmation that the issue was not caused by misuse or damage.
12. Pets
Pets are only allowed where a pet-friendly booking has been made and approved by us.
If you bring a pet, you agree that:
- pets must not be left unattended in the vehicle;
- pets must not be allowed directly on soft furnishings, seats or beds without protection;
- the vehicle must not require additional cleaning due to pets;
- you are responsible for any damage or cleaning caused by pets.
A pet cleaning surcharge may apply.
If evidence of pets is found in a non-pet-friendly booking, an additional charge may apply and we may treat this as a breach of contract.
13. Smoking & Vaping
All V1 Campers vehicles are strictly no-smoking and no-vaping.
If we reasonably suspect smoking or vaping has taken place inside the vehicle, a cleaning charge of £295 may apply.
14. Fines, Penalties & Charges
You are responsible for all fines, penalties, tolls, parking charges, road traffic offences, congestion charges, low emission zone charges and other costs incurred during your Rental Period.
If we receive a fine, penalty or charge relating to your hire, we may pass your details to the relevant authority and/or recover the cost from you.
15. Optional Extras & Associated Equipment
Any optional extras or associated equipment must be returned in the condition they were supplied.
You are responsible for loss, theft or damage to any associated equipment during your hire.
Charges may apply for damaged, missing or heavily soiled items.

- failure to meet driver or insurance requirements;
- failure to provide required documentation;
- suspected misuse of the vehicle;

Where we cancel due to your breach of these Terms & Conditions, no refund may be due.
17. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for failure to provide the vehicle where we are prevented from doing so by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, accident, mechanical failure, strike action, severe weather, road closure or other events outside our control.
18. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the hire of the vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
19. Data Protection
We process personal information in connection with enquiries, bookings, rental agreements, driver checks, insurance, payment and vehicle hire administration.
For more information about how we collect, use and store your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
